Kajimaru Vi Britannia in "Search for a New Sega Saturn!"

   It was a few years ago, I had a friend over and she was playing my Sega Saturn. I had this system and used it for long periods of time during 1996-2006 a.d. As we played a lot of import games, we often used the 4meg memory pack & The action replay converter. The converter I had didn't have the 4meg memory in it that games such as Dungeons and Dragons Arcade Collection & the Marvel Super Heroes/X-men VS Street Fighter needed to be played. So, there was a... technique we had to use to make it work;

Here it is; Came included with X-Men VS Street Fighter. Japan only.
You placed the Action Replay in the expansion port of the Sega Saturn, put the game in the disk tray, and loaded the system. Once you pass the "Action Replay Cheat Selection" screen, the game began to load.
Then there was a moment, and split second, that the screen flashed white. During that time, you needed to hastily swap the Action Replay with the 4meg Memory Expansion. If you succeeded, you where presented with the only console arcade perfect versions of these games. Most of the time, your Sega Saturn would prop up an error screen asking to place the 4meg card in. (I'm sure by now you're thinking that 4megs shouldn't be a lot to change how the game plays, but dammit it matters!)
After 10+ years of swapping this and the Action Replay, well... like I started with... I had a friend of mine over. Her and I where taking turns when suddenly; SPARK! My back port hasn't worked in years.
Well, it's time to retire my Saturn and look for another. Will I give my old Saturn a proper send off once I have another working on? Hell no; I'm to much of a packrat. Thing still plays normal games no problem. ^^

PSP2 (Or Code Name: NGP) Finnally brought to light!

We've seen blurry pictures of Sony's new portible system, but now it's finally revieled. Named tentatively "Next Generation Portable."

No, those are not R2 and L2 buttons at the bottom.
The biggest difference you could see right away is the dual analong sticks. Very useful for camera control, and for FPS games. There will be a front and rear camera, front touch display, (Sounding alot like a DSi), 3g connectivity, gps, motion sensoring. It will also be backwards compatiple with downloaded PSP games and PSone classics.
Due out Winter 2011, intime for X-mas. This gives Nintendo's 3DS almost an 8 month head start.
Hopefully we'll get more information in the months to come, including pricing and more.
A few titles have been announce, such as LittleBigPlanet, Call of Duty, and Uncharted. Accourding to what a little black and blue birdy told me, it'll run like something inbetween a PS2 and a PS3. If that's the case, the price will be the selling point.

Now when it comes down to the previous generation, I use my DS/DSi alot more then I use my PSP. You could easily tell this by the amount of PSP games (12ish) I own compaired to the DS games (about to break 30.) I own. Mind you, 5 of them have Pokemon in the title. I don't count that considering that 1/2 my PSP collection has something to do with Final Fantasy.

I will probably post more about the NGP/PSP2 at a later date, but till then, time to start putting money aside for 3DS. It's going to be a definite buy, considering 2 of my all time favorite games (Star Fox 64, Zelda OoT) are being remade for it. Kingdom Hearts 3D will be considered the "Surprise, you accidently got two toys with your kid's meal!" ^^

A Pre:Review of Dragon Ball GT

I came to a decision the other night when I bought the first of two Dragon Ball GT box sets.
I've never truely sat down and watched all of GT. I've seen key episodes, a few random episodes here and there, and the last few episodes, but I've never seen the entire thing. So, I've decided to watch thru it, 4-6 episodes at a time, and give it an honest opinion.

I totally jacked this picture from the offical Funimation site. All rights reserved. ^^x
I understand that this may be the equalivent of jumping into Lake Mead while holding a lightning rod during a thunderstorm (Negative + Negative = Positive? No, No, that would be / not +. Damn math formulas.) and that I'm sure any complete stranger would warn me not to do, but it's something I feel that needs to be done. I could easily take push the simple button and post "It's ghey!" but alas, I will not. I'm going into GT with the posistive additude of a long time Dragon Ball fan and anime lover, oppsed to a GT-Hater.
I'll be watching it in the original Japanese format, so sorry Funimation, I will not be "Welcomed to the Grand Tour." I'll watch in 4-6 episode blocks, and post here shortly after on animation, music, story, and presentation.
I mean, come on, it can't be THAT bad. I mean, people seem to of accepted the Garlic Jr saga as canon, so this can't be terrible. Right?..

Trunks says "Learn to cook, or I'm going to cut you."

Stupid I.E. 8 and below

Not displaying my new main site correctly makes me angry. KAJI SMASH!
I'll have to play around with some of the frame formulas a little, see if I can tweek it without ruining my main page's new format.
Hopefully I can play with that during the week, and start working on the the Evangelion site I've been (apparently) working on. I'd like to add some new stuff to it, but I don't like to add things that are already easily found on another page. I have the same problem with my Utena site. I'd rather not add something that someone else more popular on the internets has.
Definitly gotta bring it back online soon though!

Scott Pilgrim VS The World

Finally sat down and watched Scott Pilgrim tonight. For someone never reading the grafic novels, it was still a pretty exciting movie to watch. The story boils down to a simple boy meets girl story, with the boy being a total Nintendork. (I use the term affectionately.) Toss in a lot of pop-culture references, some very anime-esqe battle scenes, and Michael Cera in the 500th movie I've seen him in during the last few years.
Great special effects, topped with a killer soundtrack. I'd love to get more in detail, but I don't have the time tonight. I'd definitely be interesting reading the Canadian Manga, erm, grafic novel.
Would I watch it again? Sure. Hell, I'll probably buy it so I can have a Cerathon of this and Zombieland.

I'll sum this up with my favorite line from the movie: "I don't think I can hit a girl. They're soft."

Real Grade RX-78-2 Gundam Progress

Front Side View; I wish you could see the detail better then what my camera phone could give.
Front side; There was a personal issue with the gold stickers that went on the chest. Even after I placed them, they looked terrible; So, handy-dandy gold paint helped me out!
Probably wondering why I took a picture of a Gundam ass. There was a piece on the upper left leg missing from my kit, as this rarely happens I wasn't upset. I did what anyone would do after dieing a little on the inside. I custom made it from spare parts. :D

This will definitely be a project I finish soon. I'm not looking forward to the microscopic stickers that detail it in the end, but we'll get to that when it comes. ^^

The Art and Definition of the Free-lot.

By Definition.. well, there is no real definition. So, let's break the word down.

Free:
complimentary: costing nothing; "complimentary tickets"; "free admission"
Lot:
draw: anything (straws or pebbles etc.) taken or chosen at random; "the luck of the draw"; "they drew lots for it"

So, by broken down definition would be a complimentary luck of the draw. So, in any situation, freelot seems pretty black and white.

 Now, onto my post;
Free-lot is used in FFXI and other MMO games as a way to say "This item is up for grabs, to anyone who desires it." Thus, if an item is called out as free-lot anyone should be able to lot, or draw straws, for it. The problem is the gray area. The gray area is where the people who "really want" the item loose it to someone who either in their eyes don't deserve it or that they don't want it "as bad."
I'm the type of person who, even though it may sometime work against me, the black and white method. If I get out-lotted by someone who did not even need the item, then maybe I should of made my own pt and set my own rules.
The point of this rant: You should stick to your rules. Choose a decision, and stick with it.
As this was a 2:01am post, I don't expect it to make sense in the morning~
