FFXI: Genkai X - Beyond Infinity Round 1

Yopo and I got our "Seasoning Stone" items and decided to attempt the final limit break battle. Knowing it was a little difficult, we shouted for fellow adventurers that needed this fight. Once we gathered, we went into battle with SMN, NIN, WAR, BRD, WHM, and a BLU. We used the zerg/ultimate defense method by summoning Alexander for his "Perfect Defense", the strongest Protect spell in the game, and finally the new BLU spell that is obtained from Adamantoise. Unfortunately, our defenses were shattered..

The start of the fight went fine, and it was very exciting for me. Around 80% of the Taru's life he took down our NIN. Lesson 1: Never Blink-Tank a MNK. WTH? After that he turned his eyes to Yopo, who went down fighting (doing the highest damage output before her death and eating a Taru-fisted skillchain.) As we tried to recover, the little cuddly guy took out my Shiva who was assisting, then slowly murdered everyone else ending with our newly raise and quite weakened BLU with a flaming punch to the back to the knee-cap. Lesson 2: Probably needed more DD. We got him down to about 27-30% once we wiped, with just enough time for him to berserk our faces off. Not only is he a Monk who is hitting quickly but he also has an enfire added effect that can add up to 150 damage to each of his attacks. Lesson 3: Should of farmed for weakening items. There is an item you can obtain that works like the CCB Polymer from the CoP Airship battle. (If you know me, you know I have a certain reaction when that battle is mentioned.) Our nexr goal is to farm the items so that both Yopo and I can have one. Finally, Lesson 4: If at first you don't succeed, MANABURN THE FUCKER. As with some of my previous difficult battles, such as Divine Might or battling Diabolos for the summon, sometimes 5 BLMs can really melt some one's face off. The next strategy will be the "Use weakening items and nuke down the Taru before he can even take down one person!" I'll let you know how we do when that happens. XD

"This is what you call.. beyond the beyond! Super Tarutaru 3!"

Movie Review: "Rammbock: Berlin Undead"

It's not every day I rent a movie, nor do I rent a movie I've never heard of. I was not around at the time to choose this movie to rent, but I'm glad it did. It reminded me of something a little.. nostalgic. A little, shall I say, in remembrance of old zombie horror movies.

The stars of the show.
The movie opens with a young man named Michael visits Berlin to settle things with his ex girlfriend who recently dumped him. Michael reminds me alot of Ross from Friends, as he seems to have a hard time expressing his thoughts. Michael goes to his ex's house unable to locate her, but there he meets a repairman and his assistant Harper. The repairman suddenly gets frustrated over hurting himself during a job, then sudden goes ape-shit and tries to eat Michael. Now it's up to Michael and Harper to survive this rage-induced zombie outbreak and for Michael to find his beloved former girlfriend.
The storyline wasn't the most well written I've seen, but it was enjoyable for the most part. A few twists and a little excitement atleast kept me occupied for the 59 minutes the movie lasted. The characters where a little shallow and the only two I found interesting was Harper (1. He was kinda badass 2. His dub voice was Johnny Yong Bosch) and his female friend. The ending was hit and miss, as undead lovers are reunited.

They wont share blankets, so one poor fool wears the pedobear costume.
Music wasn't anything fantastic and the direction was a little off, but all in all it wasn't a bad movie. Let me talk for a moment about the actual zombies: This infection seems to be a normal run-of-the-mill outbreak, but the trigger seems to be rage or high tension. The zombies do more drooling then biting, and they run like enraged Black-Friday shoppers. Once they appear on the screen the either eat someone or rage for a bit and then leave. Let me also point out that NO ZOMBIE WAS HURT IN THIS FILM. Not one attacked, shot, or blown up. I'll let you watch the movie to see the amazing (see: stupid) weakness these zombies could of easily avoided with some nice sunglasses or by blinking during photo ops.

"I've got half of the toaster!"
I'll give it a generous 5/10. It may appeal to others while most will probably want to avoid. For me, it was worth the $1.00 in credit I have at the local movie place.

Hunters-Guild.org Update Forecast 12/15/11

As life is about to settle back down with all of these great real-life issues, I've decided to sit down and create a 60day forecast for Hunters-Guild.org updates. I'm starting slow with things I can handle, but there are still a few hicups in the way. After the holidays, I'll be able to take some time out of my week to work on and update the hunters-guild.org main site, Utena, KO Beast, Evangelion, and all of those other things I plan to work on.
I have created a message board that anyone can post or reply on via proboards.com for everything Hunters-Guild. Feel free to check it out and make some posts. http://www.huntersguilddotorg.proboards.com/

First things to be done, giving myself the due-date of 2/1/12 for the following:

1.) Completing the main page.
a.) Adding forum button to the top.
          b.) Fixing known issues.
c.) I plan to either use facebook or twitter to publish up-to-date news, haven't decided yet. Either way, I want to be able to have it viewed from the main page.
          d.) Completing the forum.
e.) Creating next forecast: Utena and KO beast updates.

Starting out small to ease back into things. :D
